Calling All Prospective Home Buyers!

Published on September 23rd, 2015

Exciting, nervous, and anxious are just a few of the emotions you may be feeling when the thought of buying a new home arises. Maybe you’ve snagged a few flyers that were put out in lawns, browsed open houses, but haven’t actually pulled the trigger yet. No worries, there are a few steps that go into buying a new home. Let’s walk through them together…

Buying a home is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life, and you need to make sure you research and know every step that goes in to the home buying process.

  1. Discovering what you want

You may begin the search for your dream home a year in advance. You might find yourself on websites searching through the homes for sale ads, and typing in different price ranges depending on your financial standings. You may also want to narrow it down to where you want to live. This could be in your current neighborhood or city, or maybe a different state. Put together the must have features, and this will slowly guide you into the next step…

  1. The Finances

A mortgage is something that most homeowners need to buy a home. Knowing what you can afford and the types of loans available to you will make the process much easier. Understanding your financial situation will also make this part less of a burden. Take the time to address your financial standings.

  1. Find your dream home!

You should now be ready to connect with a Realtor. Start these relationships early and know this person is here to help you every step of the way.

Schedule open house appointments and see as many homes as you can. This way you will know which house is “the one” when you step through the front door.

And remember… don’t rush; good homes come to those who wait. If you need any assistance in the purchase of your dream home, contact a member the housing buzz team and we will be happy to assist you!
